The Basalt brand.
How the studio looks and sounds, and how its products sit under it. Logo files are at the bottom of the page.
Name
Say Basalt.
- Basalt
- The name in running text, on social profiles, in videos and in product footers.
- Basalt Studio
- The full name. Use it for copyright lines, legal pages, store listings and the first mention in press.
- basalt
- Lowercase appears only inside the wordmark. Never write it this way in text, and never in capitals.
- Addresses

Logo
Three columns, one in olivine.
The mark is three basalt columns seen from above and to the side. The tallest, centre column carries the accent. The wordmark is Archivo at its widest setting, lowercase, outlined so it never depends on an installed font.
Space and size
- Keep clear space equal to the width of one column on every side.
- Smallest lockup: 88 px wide on screen, 22 mm in print.
- Smallest mark: 16 px. Below 24 px, prefer the mark on its own.
- Place the lockup at the top left or bottom left. Never centre it in body text.
Don’t
- Recolour the columns, or move the olivine to a different column.
- Rotate, stretch, outline or add shadows and gradients.
- Set “basalt” in another font, or retype the wordmark.
- Place the logo over busy images. Use a flat Pumice or Basalt panel.
Colour
Rock greys and one mineral green.
Olivine is the green crystal found inside basalt. Keep it to small things: the mark, links, a status dot. Most of any layout is Pumice and Basalt. Each swatch shows light mode on the left and dark mode on the right; contrast is measured against Pumice and its dark equivalent.

Type
One family, two widths, one mono.
Archivo for headings and text, Geist Mono for labels and data. Both are free under the SIL Open Font License and are served from this site, so no font service is involved.

Write like a careful engineer explaining a tool to a friend.
English for the studio and the Mac apps. Turkish where the product is for people in Türkiye. Sentence case for headings and buttons. Numbers as numerals. Every AI-made video or post says so where the platform asks.
Plain
Say what the product does, in the words its users search for.
Specific
Model names, versions and numbers beat adjectives.
Calm
No hype, slang, emoji or exclamation marks.
Honest
Say what isn’t tested yet. Never claim more than the product does today.

Products
Products keep their own look. Basalt signs them.
Each product has its own name, logo, colours, type and address, chosen for its audience. What they share is the studio’s signature, its support inbox, its copyright line and the voice above. The signature goes in the footer and the About screen, never in the product’s main logo.
